1959… Seems Like A Lifetime Ago.

Back then, it seems to me, we lived in a different time where a man’s word was his bond and businesses lived by a simple rule; “say what you do and do what you say.” And here at Evco Interiors, we have never changed.

You see, I grew up in the “family business.” I started working with my Father in the interior design and custom upholstery industry since I could carry his bucket of tools. After High School I went into the business full time. It was then that I was trained by “old-school” & “old-world” craftsmen. These artists never accepted marginal work… and good enough, wasn’t. For them, quality and craftsmanship was everything. It was there calling card. During that time I truly learned (and grew to admire and appreciate) exactly what it took to create a “work of art.”

So I went of to college to study design. During my time there I grew to realize that interior design was as much art as science. I soon realized – with my “hands on” training and experience coupled with my new found knowledge – that I had a knack for taking a clients ideas and turning them into a reality by blending both form (the art) and function (the science) into the project. But with that, I also remembered the hard lessons I learned from those old world craftsmen…

Never cut corners and never accept marginal work because the only difference between mediocrity and perfection is the unwillingness to compromise.

And maybe, just maybe, this is the reason why Evco Interiors has been around since 1959… and I am proud to say a third generation company as my daughter Alisha is now a member of our team.

If we sound like a company that you would like to do business with, we invite you to reach out to us. We would love the opportunity to turn your vision into a reality.

Respectfully

Don Evans
